Tea Cake Spring / Summer 2019 celebrates Central America, featuring coffees from Fincas Mierisch in Nicaragua, and Coopedota, a model co-op in Costa Rica. The Mierisch family's farm, Suspiro, adds notes of sweet, tropical citrus. The Dota coffees add mellow mixed fruit and caramel tones.

Our seasonal blends rotate three times each year, following coffee's harvest cycle. A fun, yet approachable way to mix things up. Great for drip brew methods.

Kainamui

Bright and crisp with notes of citrus, blackberry, and plum. 

The Kainamui washing station lies in the Kirinyaga District, on the slopes of Mt. Kenya. The co-op serves about 1800 farmer members, who cultivate the SL28 and SL32 varieties. Farmers deliver ripe cherry to the station to be washed, then dried slowly on raised beds.

Las Lomitas

Smooth and sweet with notes of navel orange, mandarin, and mixed baking spices. Brown sugar on the finish.

Maria Ligia's farm, Las Lomitas, lies in the high reaches of Colombia, in the village of Madronero. Maria cultivates the castillo variety. She washes her coffee for about a day, then slowly dries using raised beds. Nariño produce some of our favorite coffees from Colombia!

Kolla Bolcha

Quenching ripe red cherry flavor with a honeyed, cola sweetness and lush mouthfeel.

The Keila Bolcha cooperative lies in Agaro, in the western zone of Jimma, Ethiopia. Formed in 2016, the membership consists of about 400 producers who cultivate coffee upwards of 1900 mas!. After farmers deliver cherry to the wet mill, it is washed and soaked overnight, then dried on raised beds. Super clean and delicious!
